Client satisfaction survey
Early in 2021, I decided that I would like to get feedback from the clients I've worked with from the past 5 years in order to help me improve my services. So I created a Typeform online survey to capture their experiences when working with me.
I sent surveys to just shy of 900 clients, both current and past, going back to 2016. (I have been practicing since 2006) I have received 110 surveys to date (69 rating my individual work and 41 rating my couples work) for a 12 percent return rate.
The survey questions and results are below. The first group of seven questions ask about my individual therapy and the next set of nine questions ask about my couples therapy. I have summarised the results of the 1-10 scale of responses, where 10 is the best and 1 is the worst for each question.
First off, can I get your evaluation of my individual therapy services? (63% of respondents, N=69)
1. How prepared was I for our sessions?
77% in the 8-10 range (10 being "very prepared")
2. To what extent did I understand your concerns and issues?
84% in the 8-10 range (10 being "completely")
3. To what extent did I give you what you needed to manage or improve your condition or situation?
88% in the 7-10 range (10 being "to a large extent")
4. How would you rate the quality of our therapeutic relationship?
80% in the 8-10 range (10 being "strong connection")
5. How was my communication with you outside of sessions, for example, being responsive in a timely way to emails, texts and phone calls?
84% in the 8-10 range (10 being "excellent")
6. How easy was it for you to schedule appointments with me, including finding times that work for you and using my online calendar?
81% in the 8-10 range (10 being "very easy")
7. The resources I provided for you were timely, of a high quality and helpful, including book recommendations, worksheets, websites, assessments, etc...
69% in the 8-10 range (10 being "strongly agree")
